Fun Pointers & Best Practices

1. Start Early

People are more likely to donate if you ask before they’re overwhelmed with other requests.

2. Make It Personal

Share why you’re Frunging. Are you honoring someone? Supporting a friend? Passionate about grief support? Personal stories raise more money.

3. Be Specific

Instead of “Please donate,” try:

  • “Help me raise $250 by Friday!”

  • “I need 5 people to give $20 today!”

4. Post Often

Most people need to see something 3–5 times before they act. It’s okay to remind them.

5. Thank People Publicly

Tag and thank donors (if appropriate). Gratitude encourages others to give.

6. Use Photos & Videos

Take a selfie when you register. Share updates.

7. Don’t Apologize for Asking

You’re not asking for yourself — you’re helping our families get to camp.

8. Make It Fun

Create mini-challenges:

  • “If I hit $500, I’ll wear a costume!”

  • “If we reach my goal, I’ll jump backwards!”

Remember:

The Frunge isn’t just about jumping in a lake.

It’s about making sure Hearts of Hope Family Grief Camp stays free for anyone who has had someone they love die.

Let’s Frunge.
